MAD BEAUTY Product Reviews

For those of you who know me (if you don’t hello I am Em and welcome to my blog) you will know that I adore anything Disney. A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Karen, from MAD BEAUTY, asking me to review some of their Disney themed beauty products and of course I couldn’t resist. The package arrived promptly and I have already fallen in love with lots of the goodies inside. Here is my honest review of the products that I received.

The Winnie the Pooh RangeIMG_0373.jpgIMG_0382.jpg

From a young age my favourite Disney character has always been Winnie the Pooh so when I saw MAD BEAUTY offered a honey lip balm I couldn’t resist asking for one, Karen was then kind enough to send me through more things from the range. The LIP BALM itself smells exactly like Honey and although at first touch it feels quite sticky it applies really smoothly leaving your lips feeling very moisturised. The taste applies instantly but doesn’t stick around which I personally prefer or else I would be craving a honey sandwich for the whole day!

The BODY WASH and BUBBLE BATH are both honey and orange blossom scented which has a familiar christmas smell. The body wash lathers really well and a little bit definitely goes a long way. Your skin is left soft and smelling just like how I imagine a pooh bear would! Unfortunately at university I don’t have a bath but I did test out the bubble baths bubbling power in the sink and was not disappointed (for now I think I will use it as a hand soap). My only issue with the products would be the fact that they don’t have a pump disposal but that is something that can be fixed with a quick trip to Wilkos! All of the handrawn Winnie designs on the products are adorable and all come with a decent sized about of product in.

Beauty and The Beast Lip Gloss SetIMG_0383.jpgIMG_0385.jpg

I haven’t seen anything this adorable in a long time! Mrs Potts and Chip are travel size LIP GLOSSES that fit perfectly into a bag for a touch up during the day. Each has a colour in their pots, pink and purple, but on the lips come off clear. I think this set would make a perfect stocking filler for a younger sister, niece etc. The fact the pay off is clear means it would be great for little girls who are starting to get interested in playing with make up but you don’t want them looking too dolled up for their age. The packing is sturdy and both lids clip on well so you wouldn’t have to worry about having a sticky mess in the bottom of your bag.

Christmas Hand Sanitisers IMG_0389.jpgIMG_0401.jpg

Of all the lovely items I received these are by far my favourite! They’re pocket sized (you literally can fit them in your pocket) HAND SANITISERS in a range of lovely scents. The Marshmallow scent is by far my favourite but the cherry and cranberry scents will be perfect in this upcoming winter. I have never really been a fan of hand sanitisers because I don’t like how they leave your hands feeling but these are moisturising so you don’t get that horrible dried out texture on your palms. I just think these are so handy and will definitely be repurchasing once my little set has ran out.

Advent Calendar IMG_0392.jpgIMG_0393.jpg

The packaging of this ADVENT CALENDAR blew me away. It is so bright and colourful, so much so it hurt me to rip the doors open. Inside there are 12 miniature bath and body products each scented like strawberries. If I’m being honest I am not a major fan of the scent but then I never am of strawberry scented things. The range of products is great and each are really useful. It comes with bath salts, bath fizzes, a hand cream, a body lotion, a body wash, lip balms, nail files and a loofah. They are all a great travel size so you can bring a bit of luxury wherever you go. I tested out the hand cream and it was very creamy but not sticky. As previously mentioned I don’t have a bath at university so couldn’t test out all the products but I look forward to trying them out at home. Again I think this would make a great present for a younger child and a great way to keep the excitement going all the way up till christmas.

I cannot get over the generosity of the people at MAD BEAUTY and have definitely found some new favourites in the Winnie the Pooh range and hand sanitisers. Be sure to check out their website for some good Christmas ideas!

Go and grab another cuppa on me, Em x
